Right now it looks like the only people not going on the boat are Carson, Majo, Brad, Lindsay, Donna and Cindy. Please let Scott know if we need to correct the manifest.
The Swoop is the newest group boat in Destin. It is pretty fast too. It can get out to deep sea (20-25 miles out) in 45 minutes (18 knots). The Swoop is a deep sea vessel so bay fishing is not an option. However, if it gets rough we can ask them to come closer to the shore
The boat was not available Monday, so I booked it for Tuesday 6-25. Our adventure begins at 8 am and ends at 2. We need to be at the dock at 7:30 am.
We get a captain and three crew, and all of them, except for a college-aged crewman, have children.
Since that Tuesday's dinner responsibility is Sandi Shore ( Bob & Jeanne May, Luke & Jacob Matthews, Catherine Daniell, and Doug & Karen Sanders) maybe we should we plan on fish for dinner. The the Sandi Shore crew just needs to prepare sides and a back-up food for the non fish eaters. If we strike out then we can always order Pizza.
The price for the 6 hour charter is $1500. That translates to $45 pp. If we did open boat it would be $55/adult, $45/kid, so we will actually save with the charter. The price inlcudes tip, fish cleaning and packing on ice, rods, tackle, bait, and liscenses. We need to bring food, beverage, sunscreen, dramamine, etc.
